Let Me Borrow Your Smile
Let me borrow that smile,
You wear on your face.
And those eyes that beguile,
And all sadness erase.
Let me borrow your heart,
So pure and so great.
So that no poisoned dart,
Can bring sorrow or hate.
Let me borrow your kindness,
And the world will believe.
When you borrow from angels,
There will be no more grief.
Let me borrow your smile,
And then I can attest,
That a beautiful soul,
Can defeat all the rest.
