Let Me Forget Poem by Rachael Aislynn Musgrove

Let Me Forget

Rating: 4.8

Nothing will help me to forget
but I know I can forgive
even though you lied to me
But love you, again? Heaven forbid!
I'm not that little girl.
You really should leave me alone.
Let me Avoid you in peace.
But you just keep calling and writing
so I can't forget
the hurt that you're putting me through.
I've already casted my heart on the ground for you
What more, you greedy liar, do you want me to do? !
I hate you!
Is that what you want to hear?
I've said it once, but won't say it again.
I hate that I love you,
I need to forget you.
But I just can't.
My better half is fading
I need to hold on to it tight.
But, like a wisp, she'll slip through my hand
And I will never be the old me, again.
You took everything. Just let me go.
Let me stop morning
I don't want to love you, you know!
So I'll drift here in the black
with ravens as my friends.
I'll have innocent conversations
And won't look back again.
