Let Not The Past Suppress Your Mind Poem by Daya Nandan

Let Not The Past Suppress Your Mind

Rating: 4.5

There's your past that clouds your mind,
When you seek a brand new beginning to find,
Be it when you are searching for love,
Or making a desired wish to god above,

Learn from the past but never let it control you,
Let it not surpress your potential so true,
Don't let it stop you from oppourtunities ahead,
Let it not bring unnecessary fear to your youthful head

Let it not bring unnecessary doubt into your heart,
Let it not be your weakness to tear you apart,
Learn from the past but never live inside it,
For it is like falling into an evil bottomless pit,

It is like placing your mind within a prison cell,
One within yourself, your very own self created hell,
Measure not our new beginnings from a damaged road,
Have faith not in the doubt the past has showed,

Our lives will always be filled with ups and downs,
But that dosn't we can never get the crowns,
Trust the present, trust the faith within you hold,
Trust that you can make it with your heart of gold,

Step away from that past for it is not your life,
Merely lessons, let it not stab you with a knife,
Create a destiny with the experience life has shown,
Create a heaven on earth that you can call your own.
