Let Peace Be Done Poem by Cleodene Charles

Let Peace Be Done

Vicious lies and pretences seem to be the order of the
day
Your loathing is served cold with a heartfelt cold shoulder
It is evident in your cup of sarcasm and hate that this dinner party is over
You're a heart breaker, a soul taker
You crush and burn and leave destruction in your path
You seem to think that life
This life now ends, yet deep inside
A new is born; a new me, new she and diva
You're the night terror that creeps into
the room of a child
The dark that comes after the light
Yet this is just the battle of the wills and mind
The war for bruised souls is yet to be won
