Let's Wake Up To A New Nation! Poem by Pranayee Rachamalla

Who is India, on this day?
this hour, this moment? where it is going? in which way?
Is she a country struggling to fight the problems
or is she a nation growing just in numbers,
Is she also growing up to become tomorrow's leader?
Are people struggling for this here?
may be we need to define our nation,
before we try to redefine it for a new definition,
India was once bound in chains,
now corruption and our negligence tied her up in chains.
India is bearing a lo of pain.
because of some wrong things, we are in vain
But India, poised to lay, claim to her destiny
and have a lot to say,
though it is blinded by anger, carved into two,
divided by faith, we are one with a friendly-brotherly view,
but change remained her closest ally;
Because of its fearless spirit only.
And we need to make changes at the grass root level
to make our country a beautiful heaven.
And as she changes to a new India each day,
we must play our role in her transformation and do what we should, everyday!
