Let This Be True Poem by Daria Domitrovic

Let This Be True

Of all the lights appearing in summer glow
You were the brightest, caressed under my palms.

Moments of waiting gave me appreciation
For what you are and for what you will become.

Sounds in distant lands never lost their strength,
Glory of the moon erased the doubts

I relish your presence.

Now I have mornings of glow until the end
No ambiguous thoughts feed on despair.

Sweet wishes subdued their affair
Claiming no reason to run and condescend.

I stood still to defend you
I stood still and this plot grew
Surrender all you have to discern me within you
Stand still when winds cry I promise I will too

Let this be more than words, let this be true.
