Let There Be Light

“In You my God, I long to dwell
Where darkness can’t come in
Within Your Light be safe from hell
And free from wayward sin

Let there be Light my God I pray
Let darkness swift depart
Allow me live with You today
With Jesus in my heart

For Jesus said, “I am The Light
The Truth, The Life, and Way”
So come Lord Jesus end this plight
Come in my heart to stay

I’ve searched for truth I did not know
For light I failed to find
But now I’ve found the way to go
My eyes are no-more blind

My God, You saw me all this time
You’ve witnessed all I’ve done
I now repent my every crime
Forgive through Christ Your Son

I’ve come to call upon Your name
To seek Your love and grace
I’ve come to pray You’ll take my shame
That I may see Your face

In faith, my God I come to You
In hope; I seek Your Light
Let darkness fail through birth anew
Give strength in Christ to fight

With heart and soul, my God divine
Your praises now I sing
For now I know that Christ is mine
And I am Yours my King
