Let This Be The End Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Let This Be The End

Rating: 5.0

I can't go back to the way things were,
as my soul
has been
Demolished

Tranquil thoughts,
lifted up in
Vast Destruction

Call for the mourners,
As this child
has been
Defiled

Oh God,
why was it my
Destiny
to be
Undone

Deep within my spirit,
I thought
Love
would
Prevail

Instead my life
is
encompassed
in this
Living Hell

Used and Abused
for the
whole world
To See

Defeated and Lost
within,
Oh Lord,
'Let This Be The End'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Is your heart one of stone?

This is somebody's life...

This work does not end on a horrible note, as the last two lines are reaching out to God for His intervention of these circumstances to come to an end... T.G.
