Lets Talk Poem by Christina Simmons

Lets Talk

Rating: 4.0

White carnations for us A little talk wouldn't go amiss
Pink roses for me cause I'm a lady...
Woman of love...Venus has nothing on me

Romantically ripened and assured...
Able to give you what you need - want
We've had our ups and downs...
Love is still in the air...it feels joyous.

Each time I see you...don't seem a day older
Looking youthful as the day we met
Time has stood still for us we've grown in wisdom
Knowledge and intelligence is beyond us

Maybe our heart a little filled...
Maturing slightly way against our years.
When you touch me: you have the knack
To make it feel like dynamic... flesh tickles...tingling...
When we make love subtly opening up like a flower
letting out scents which cultivate you in my web

Don't you care I'm still caught up with you?
I can't put you down... don't want to let go!
With you my heart will always stay...safety net is tied around you
Lets not say goodbye...not now...Instead lets talk for a while...
Moving along together...not letting go

I still love you so... only that sometimes...
I can't find the words to tell you...Remember darling
You'll always be my number one
Forgiveness of the self is needed here?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem for an old flame, hoping to win him back. But it didn't work; he still went off with someone else.
