Let's Talk Poem by Ashlyn Brena

I thought I would be fine by now,
I moved on, but I don't think I really did.
I still dream about you every night,
Sometimes I call her by your name, then we fight.
A few years ago you hurt me, but my heart is still dancing to your tune.

I gave you my all.
I said I'm your superman
and you said I'm not strong,
You wanted more, the more that I couldn't give, I thought i was enough,
But I was wrong.
You Cheated.

I failed to forgive, I forced you to leave,
I'm sorry, I still love you.
We can rewrite our story.
Maybe it was all my fault,
I wasn't a man enough, now I am.
I know there's something we can do
Let's talk about it and work things out.
I still need you.
