Letter To Emeka Poem by Ifeleye Ray

Letter To Emeka

Hello Emeka
Quite an ages of no hi from your side
How I wish you can see these words, think through and be good
Liberating you from scourge of evil within your eyes
I am your brother, Ife sayer of bitter truth
But I doubt we came from same womb of a woman
that Once lived in the village of Ibuje
I am so worried if this brotherhood is overdue or ban
As your blood, I have this on my mind to say

My Dear Emeka,
Some said you 've changed
Others assumed you are not what they use to know
Cause none of them truly understand you like I do and said 'ney'
Words you spit as we grow
Your feat and dreams
A theme that knows nothing but thee
Remember we grew up together in a pond of poverty like sea
As we were glad when riches smiled upon your fleet

Oh Emeka
All you did is renovate curse of agonizing structure that's unabated
You are so scared to live the lead Almighty gifted
Only to shield yourself between bossom of your wife's thighs
Saying 'all that bow shall get their needs with high prize'
You broke pots that cooked past food
Slapped arms that protected you from yourself in dangerous mood
Shun hands you once begged for alms
Sooner you forgot it, as all confirmed

My Perfect Emeka
A perfection so pure that you enforce siblings to leak your fart
But you sniffs no one's
If they dares so shall you bang feet on their laps
You know how you lead despite being at front
When people condemned you, I pity you
Because your heart is subverted by hate and unforgivable thoughts
Who is to blame if not the way your life beget woes althrough
And you wear its cloth of bye-gones that you bought

Emeka,
The best even when no competitor stands within the lane
Enjoying race you considered to yourself as a game
Big brother, it's time to come as your forsaken home calls
One day, It will call no more as it will forget us all
Give more hatred that we can't repay
Buy love of insincerity, fake and dismay as always
What else can I say to let you see my ingenuity?
I can't hold tongues as I foresee waving doom over this city.
