Letter To Kitty Poem by Arthur Carman

Letter To Kitty

Rating: 5.0

While you were gone I thought of you
Do you see me when you close your eyes
as I see you among the stars and moon
Is it clear to you even now after all this time
The sorrow within my heart without you
My friend my mentor my inspiration
You are imprinted in my deepest being
leaving me without further guidance
missing your loving embrace and wisdom
I hope you can hear these words
for one day we will be united again
maybe as strangers on the street
or in the heavens above so holy
but for now you are and always will
be with me in every step I take
walking hand and hand to eternity
