Letter To Sunshine Poem by Irfan Bashir

Letter To Sunshine

My dusky eye when gawks at you
I am always amazed to see
How you kiss the morning new
And leave the leaves with diamond dew.

Brooks reflect your thoughts
As you command the mountain hearts
To let the wild flow,
And they surely bow.

You see to it that every flower
And moss on stones that never hover,
Get your blessings every day
As you confer your divine ray.

Darkness shies away from you
When your radiant rays run,
Then you spread your timeless wings
And touch the cloaked Planet rings.

Everyday your ceaseless shine
Filters through flutes of wine,
It pierces the fabric of waning time
For birds to hum "Good morning Sunshine"
