This
our beloved Africa is slowly turning into a death trap
From the senseless xenophobic attacks down south
to the 'irrational' religious wars north of the equator.
Economical and political instability our new identity,
corruption and crime the gateway to an underworld haven
I see nothing to pride of there
Poverty the song that plays loud in African homes,
barricades, abductions and countless killings
the news we look forward to at night
Dare i say let us fight poverty out of sight
This face of Africa is diseased with man-made maladies
which no pill can cure except African found remedies
I see rivers to cross
before we can sail the seas,
I see mountains to climb
before we can fly around the skies,
I see a neighbor's door to knock on
before we can make a phone call to IMF and the World bank...
I see some hope there
Africa,
My beloved Africa i say unite against the madness
Unite in the name of Africa, unite for Africa
Songs like these i sing daring hymns
Dare, i dare the African chair
to lead the way we need some light;
Dare the heights and bring this blackness to light
throw the bombshells
to fight darkness ashore,
Dare the myths and let your wisdom shine
Tell them all with pride
this blackness is enough light
for a pride African to thrive in the lightness of truth
Take us back
to Ubuntu, our African root
Peace, love and unity
the fruits we hunger for
Dare, i dare you Mr Chair
to put an end to all the madness in Africa,
Deliver us from this world of shame
Preach love to attain peace and unity
let not corruption be a bridge
for the greedy to ran away from poverty
Together we can fight the madness
together we can conquer poverty
Together we can revive an Africa to pride of...
I see some hope there
