Letter To The Future Poem by Silviu Craciunas

Letter To The Future

Rating: 5.0

I am a poet, the earth is an apple.
You're young, painfully young
and I painfully old.
Loaded with memories,
I shed tears at the root apple,
you sit hung from the last branch.
Besides your body bloom,
besides your future loves,
besides your thoughts to be,
will dream world.
You are here,
but you are everywhere too,
replicated in the diversity of the moments
like a flash of wit.
I am the fallen fruit
and I feel the thrill of life
running down on the wrinkled bark.
You're the unborn fruit
why does not yet know what it is.
Between us is the science of life
that you think you can learn
and I pretend that I know.
Just so
hope will pollinate
flower from which you will live like a fruit.
Just poets think
that there are buds on the branches of apple
stuck in the future
and leave him with a voice of death
letters.
