Letters Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Letters

Letters

No
No I do not mean
No by no means
The letters of love
The letters of hate
The letters of demands
The orders or confessions
The falls and submissions
I mean letters
The letters in alphabets…
The alphabets that carry messages
Transfer the history and stories of
Joy and pain and experiences
And…
Yes the letters that many of you did not know
Did not have
And have no relations with
But
Thanks to the turn of the ball of the history
That has put you in controlling position
You claim:
"Science says…proves…"

Hey those letters are ours
We are the ancient nations
And or their descendants
And their phoenix-ash turned to chicks
And to phoenix
Oh proud we are of being indigenous
Of anywhere and everywhere…
With some luckier than others
The lucky ones have it or can find
And the unlucky fell into your devil-trap
Was sterilised and fixed
And your pride was: "Kill the Indian in the child! "

A tablet of such letters is found
In Jiroft…Kerman
Seven thousands years old…
Do you get it?
