Letting Go

Sometime when time passed by
I forgot all about the sun and only thought of your beautiful face
Remembering the time your precious smile lit up my day
Now all that's left is a picture of you smiling
Hanging up on the wall a memory of what was.

So I put my hand on the stove and turn it on
Hoping I won't feel the pain,
The rush of tears that came to my eyes when you left me.
Will that hand that once held your heart be reborn if I burnt the taste that you left
I wondered, as to my surprise I noticed that my hand is not burning
The stove was unplugged.

Guess it's hard to let go when you gave me so much to hold on for.
