Liar Poem by Chris van Maanen

Liar

Rating: 5.0

Once I met this girl
She’s pretty and nice
We talked to each other
We had so much in common
And those really little annoying things?
I really don’t bother

We are getting to know each other better and better
Go to clubs and watch romantic movies with candles
We share almost everything and there’s no doubt about trust
The sweet talking seems to never end, and we have such fun
But out of nothing there came a doubt, this is too much to be true
Is she lying? No, that can’t be, she just send me a sweet letter

But still there’s a doubt
My friends are telling me, the doubt is right
But I can’t believe it, why would she do that?
So I ask her about it, and she just says they are wrong
Well, I believed her and the fun was back
But still there was doubt, before I went sleeping in the night…

Well, now I’m sure, she’s lying
How could she? Why would she?
And than I start crying…

Slowly her earrings are changing in spinning blades
They are cutting my heart in pieces
All in different shapes
This time it will be a while
To heal my heart
And where do I have to start..?

Hi Chris, I think it is so easy to get caught up in this love stuff. Sometimes we don't think with your heads we go with our heart. It is easy to get trapped into things. When the right person comes along I think you will know. I think dating is really hard today. I guess I shouldn't give advice. I will be too negative. Take care Chris great poem and take care.
