Lies Poem by Shawneka Sifford

Lies

Life is cunning and unfair;
Like a street magician who screws with your mind all to well.
And Fate does this without a care,
You are the only one who can tell.
You see the world the way normal don't.
And can note the others who do too.
You strive for help while others won't.
But still the pain refuses to subdue.
You try to find hope in the hope less,
But that magician plays you again and again.
And you still try to escape fates bruising caress.
You feel as if you are bound in chain.
You try to find the end of this twisted, sick game of lies
But realize that this unfair game can be won by the truth found in liars eyes.
