Lies Poem by Deashia Henderson

Lies

You told me that you loved me!
And that you were always thinking of me.
But then I see you kissing her.
My mind starts spinning in a blur.
So this is what you choose, this piece of trash.
Yeah that's right; it's the treasure that you lose.
All she wants is cash.
A ruthless gold-digger is all that you gain.
But I promise, you will never know my pain.
Go ahead, run away. Hide the shame and hide yo face.
No one can ever say that we never tried, but they can say both of us lied.
What oh didn't you know, My man is all that He took me to dinner and a show.
Weren't you wondering why I looked so good.
Coming from a poor neighborhood.
Guess not oh well.
Whats done is done we both came out the shell.
Fortunately this is where the memory dies.
I'm through with you and all your lies.
