Lies Poem by Alexander Downie

Lies

Don't Lie, it murders truth
Don't Lie, it twists minds and gnarls roots
Don't Lie, it turns colour the foulest black
Don't Lie, it slaughters trust and leaves tears

Don't Lie, it is a hurricane of hurt
Don't Lie, it is clarty and cheap
Don't Lie, it's price a malicious mutant seed
Don't Lie, there is no looking up from the gutter
