Lies Poem by Mickel Allen

Lies

With words she woes
Makes eardrums vibrate
Nipples pulsate
While lower lips salivate

Like bullets of rain across country window pains
Whispers of I love you’s
Promised I do’s
While tenderly unearthing the melancholy
Within me which brews

Words purporting trust
She skillfully sprinkles
like fairy dust
Over all the calamities
…Lies
Misconducts

With words she woes her
She has nothing else to
Offer
But lies
as we lay entwined
looking deeply in each other’s eyes
…I beguiled
Both knowing she wears a disguise
To hide all she denies
But this much we realize
she is my impaled purple rain
and I-
her lullaby
