Lies And More Lies Poem by Sandra Feldman

Lies And More Lies

Lies pile
High as mountains,
Reach the sky
Where they thunder,
But don't die.

How much longer
Can we be
Bombarded, day by day
By such incessant
Demagogic, dystrophy?

'Honesty, best policy'
Once upon a time
Was adopted,
By some, still free.

But today,
The more you lie,
The more you get
Ahead,
Press, lies best,
With clear impunity!

And there we are!
So technically.
Advanced,
But unable to progress,
Humanly.
