Life Poem by machi prasad

Life

Sugar and spice, thali and rice and, everything nice?
Strange lives full of lies, like a game of dice,
Played in a trice, With Whisky on ice
And Misguided advice, trying to splice
Like A Mango slice to be precise
Stories that are concise that must suffice
People in the grips of individual vice
Like meek mice vie amongst rampant lice
Trying to pay excise while
Looking for a device to deice
Tear filled eyes and heartbreaking goodbyes
Emotions in a vise, for the right price
Hoping for a Life fragrant like allspice, that seeks to entice
