Life After Death Poem by Luningning Minguez

Life After Death

Rating: 5.0

Twenty nine moons…
here, she slept with smiles…
And the pillows just smile with her,
Same as the cloth
that used to cover those
two pairs of knees…
used to bring her warmth.

….. they never do now! ! !

Yes, his humanity was shrunk
to the grounds of the earth
and his soul
now singing with angels
and tree leaves dancing
through the music of ever endless
breeze from the seas
of heavens…
It’s been an earth and a half…

Now she will never wake up
with the smells
of fragrant air that used
to greet her on sun rays…
Nor even hear the music of
“Good mornings or sweet dreams”…

She knows life is more beautiful
than waking up with sun rays
on her eyes,
She knows life is more beautiful
than sleeping under the
warmth of Emerald’s skin…
but to wake up and see
the innocence that lays beside her,
whom she absorbed
her energy from
for the whole day
…and for her life.
Because now, she solely
take in control of another
beautiful and innocent life…

It is enough that she
has knelt before
the cradle that lays Emerald…
Where she has bathe thousands
Of grief o’er shrinking grasses,
for she knew that Emerald
has absorbed her heart…
(He knew how she soon will
see the ‘sweet endless life’
beneath the end of it all…)

And it is more than just waking up
With morning kisses,
More than warm embraces
That she used to sleep with…
It is life…full of hopes.

She had to bring the
beautiful life with
the ‘little angel’…
She has to bring him the
life like the one
she had that twenty nine moons
…or life more than that.

And then…
After all,
she can sleep…
tight
Rest assured…

And for her,
there’s no such thing
as failure…
But hopes!
We don’t loose people
we love just to make us
realize what we’ve lost,
but we loose them
to make us realize
WHAT WE’VE GOT.
