In life we experience phases
Where people grow up
And everybody changes
If we can settle for the worst
Then Life isn’t in our favor
We set ourselves up for easy
When we know we can do better
If broken isn’t fix
Then neither is our hearts
The way we show love
Separates us apart
The way we treat others
Shows we understand
That our love could stretch farther
Then a single rubber band
Nobody said life was easy
Or even unfair
But it’s up to us to explore life
If we want to take it there
