Life IS...

On again,
Off again,
Here again,
Gone again...
Here today,
Gone tomorrow,
Full of laughter,
Full of sorrow...
On top of a mountain today,
In a valley tomorrow...
Full of anger,
Full of pain,
And once it is gone,
Never to be regained...
Packed with happiness, joy, and tears,
Overcome with darkness, bitterness, fears...
Moments of blue skies,
Moments of pain,
Days of sunshine,
Days of rain...
Filled with births,
Overwhelmed by death...
Life is a circle,
Life is your wealth!

For Jim Hogg, whose poem, Moments, gave me
these thoughts, as his work always does! And
I think that is what good poetry does.. inspires
us to think, feel, reason, and care! Thanks, Jim.

Well now, didn't Jim just say it all! - I always feel one needs to appreciate the lows of life to appreciate the highs... it's just that it doesn't feel like it at the time. Neat piece SSS. t x (Report) Reply

Thanks you for the lovely dedication.... seems like you do a bit of stimulating your good self Linny. This is a pretty pithy and potent comprehensive description of the jigsaw of life that we never quite complete. To be read slowly and chewed over carefully to bring out the juices aplenty it contains. xxx jim (Report) Reply

Beholding me that all the pageants play,
Disguysing diversly my troubled wits.
