I went down to the lake,
I went down and sat.
trying to think but couldn't
So I stood up and jumped in!
I came up first and hollered,
I came up again and cried!
The water was so cold,
I could've sank and died.
It was cold, I was cold.
I got out,
took a long walk back.
Thought about my life,
Thought about my family.
I stood in the streets' hollering,
I stood there crying.
If it had'nt been so cold,
I might've sat there and died.
Since I'm livin'
I guess I'll live on forever.
I could've dided for you-
But for livin I was born.
You may hear me holler,
You may see me cry.
But baby you will see me die.
Life is fine, Life is fine!
