Life's Garden Lesson

In Eden's garden grew everything
God gave not all to eat
Till the serpent began to sing
When causing man's defeat

From off one tree, no fruit God told
Adam should eat nor Eve
Till Eve persuaded, ate so bold
Where God told both to leave

Since then the garden's out of reach
Behind a wall of fire
A lesson Heaven both to teach
Good is not all desire

So in the world, it is today
Man does as parents taught
Till Heaven Way most people stray
By devils to be caught

Through fallen angels deluded
Trapped in seductive snares
From God and Heaven excluded
Where no one ever cares

Did Adam and Eve their sin repent?
Before Christ chose to die
To pay mans' debt God Jesus sent
To rescue you and I

Have you my friend bestowed much thought?
Where, with whom, you'll abide
When life's Judge sees your true report
Which door will open wide?

Can you find time today my friend?
Jesus' coming grows nigh!
How soon could be your journeys' end
When still condemned, you die.....
