Life's Meaning Poem by J.B. LeBuert

Life's Meaning

Searching for a meaning in life
A trip to the library didn't help
Can it be painted with palette knife
I've been wondering since a whelp

Where is that book that explains it all
Does anyone really know
Where is that guru who'll enthrall
Where's the answer, does the Bible show

Is the meaning the same for all
Is your meaning the same as mine
Should we answer the Lord's call
I wish I would see a sign

Are we all striving for one goal
Are we learning anything here
Death is taking such a toll
Is fear really the only thing to fear

Will we have to repeat this life
By failing to learn from it
Should we avoid or embrace strife
Or on my couch, should I sit

The best answer I can find
Is to gain knowledge all
Then you may not mind
Answering God's intimate call

Learn life's lessons as best you can
Don't repeat the sins of stupidity
Try to make a smart life plan
You'll gain knowledge for your validity
