Life Story Thingy Poem by Lizzie Resendiz

Life Story Thingy

Rating: 5.0

She was always such a sweet girl
She was always so smart
her life has never been easy
Even as a small child
She'd cry every night
She would always fake a smile
and act like everything was alright
She would always try to help people
Even though she couldnt help herself
One day when she was older
She met this girl
They became best friends
Her new friend told her how she cut
She told her new friend to be careful
Her friend told her it helped
She asked for a blade, just to have one
Her friend gave her one
Agian she told her to be careful
Her friend told her the same thing
She reasured her friend she wasn't going to start
a few days later things got worse
worse than they'd ever been
she cryed and knocked her purse down
everything poured out
something shiny caught her eye
She got off her bed
wiped her tears
picked up the shiny blade
and slit her wrist, crying
she watched the blood ooz out
She made another, then another
Her crying began to stop
She made one more cut
She felt so much better
She covered them with bracletes and makeup
when that wasn't working to well she thought
and years later her and her friend still close
she still had her first blade she ever used
she calls him Wonn, no one knows why
to this day she has many blades
She still cuts to relieve stress
to get rid of the pain for a while
after the braceletes and makeup werent working
she began to cut her legs
so much blood she's already lost
how much more can she lose
Her life still getting harder and harder
Her friends becoming sparser and sparser
How long will she make it
when shes always thinking of suicide
when her cuts grow longer, longer, deeper, and deeper
how much longer does she have...?
