Life's Dirt Poem by Clyde King

Life's Dirt

Life's dirt sticks to all.
No one gets away clean.
Know what I mean?
We are born into
chaos and suffering.
Who can deny these things?
When puny humans such
as Lenin, Hitler, Mao,
and Stalin can murder millions
with impunity they serve
a god of cruelty, and so do
their minions, or anyone
like them. Men can become
monsters and why?
It all began with this lie...
"And you will become
like God...you will not die."
-Genesis 3: 4,5.
