Life Sucks Poem by Clyde King

Life Sucks

Rating: 5.0

Every day I wake up
And hear this strange sucking noise, like
A clogged vacuum cleaner.
In my house, when I step outdoors,
Everywhere I go it seems.

It seems to be telling me
LIFE SUCKS!

We're thrown into this shit hole
Without being asked, and then we better
Navigate through it or get sucked down into it.
Like falling into a bottomless whirlpool.
You try to grab something to
Hold on to, and if you're lucky

A nameless stranger sticks
Out a hand or a rope or a stick,
And you grab hold with all your life.
Problem is, you get tired, weak,
And lose hope in ever getting out.

That's when life really does SUCK!

That's when life really does SUCK! .................. very true. We rely on others, we depends on other when we are hopless, we try to lean on someone but not necessarily we can rest with peace on others. Meaningful poem. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rita. It’s how I feel sometimes and I think it’s pretty universal. Happiness finds you when you don’t look for it; when it does, rejoice in it. Needless to say, all of us suffer at times and there is always someone who’s worse off than we are.

I’m glad you are. Hang on tight. In spite of our problems we march on.

I cannot see what the meaning is, but it is invariably about how life sucks, or how you succumb to it.
