Andrea Rieck (6/19/90)
Light Bringer
I’m the shadow that light casts away…
I’m the smoke that came after the fire
I’m the star that died the day it was born…
The one that cried for it after
Can’t you save me
Can’t you feel me
No more do I sense the sun on my face
Nor does the breeze caress my mind
To me, the sound of the wind’s lullaby is dead…
I’m a sleepwalker without senses
That views the world in shades of red
Forsaken by the seasons
I hide from the rest of the world
The wolves – I’m the rabbit
The one with the toxic wrath
But I can feel you
Your cold stares from places I can’t see
Why wont you take your shield down for me?
An abandoned child
Until my innocence gave way to thorns
A moon’s tear lights your eye
You want me, I know you do
Your dark desire
Are you afraid you’ll become the same?
You can trace the path of stars that I uncovered
While I was drowning in my thoughts
You can see the world that I discovered
Take my hand – I don’t want to walk alone
Hurry
I don’t have much time
Look me in the eyes
If you’ll just touch me I know I’ll be alright
Oh light bringer
Save me before I’m lost completely
