Light House Poem by Ryan Leonard

Light House

Rating: 4.5

Lost in the deepest of seas
Adrift in a current
Alone in my strife
The sky rained down
And the ocean tossed
Until I saw the light.
A bright beam cut through the mist
It showed me the way.
Saving me from the “turbid ebb and flow”
I followed the illuminated path
Eventually finding the source of my hope
A light house perched upon a jetty.
She stands strong and independent.
With a beauty of her own.
Waves beat on her foundation
And winds howl around her windows
But her light never flickers.
I reach safety with her help
So forever grateful will I be
To that light which shown
In my darkest of times.
