Lighter Things To Tame. Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Lighter Things To Tame.

Rating: 5.0

A million times I could see the moon
Without losing appeal
Billion waves reach the shore
Yet sea remains the sea.

Thousand times lip meet the lips
And thirst remains as is
Passion spins around the heart
Yet love remains unblemished.

Joy of the body spreads around
Like fragrance of flowers
Unleashing pearls from the shells
To shine in the light and glower.

Soul dressed in the body
Cloths covering shame
Darker shades of life
Lighter things to tame.

A marvelous poem embellished with metaphors and crystalline imagery. Captivating poetic expression that touches the heart.

Each and every stanza stands out that expresses beautifully how true love conquers all dark shades of life. Very inspiring.
