Lightning Poem by Ste. Anne

Lightning

They say love starts in a cloud
And feels its way down to Earth
Like when I say you're beautiful but
Then with a sudden crackling flash
You toss your head and say you're not.
Even though a shattered tree lies
Smoldering in the scorched grass
I still think you're beautiful.
