Like A Child Poem by Peter Eliastam

Like A Child

Could listening ears detect
The sound of the Unsearchable,
And hearing hearts respect
The voice of the Ineffable,
Then would they know
As they themselves are known.
Should opposites be realigned
By nature incompatible,
And righteousness by Him assigned
Be pure and unimpeachable,
Then shall they see
As they themselves are seen.
O that scoffers would relent
From scorning the Implacable,
And fearing Him, return, repent,
Accounted irreproachable.
Then undefiled
Would they be reconciled.
