Like A River, I Flow Poem by Paul Sebastian

Like A River, I Flow

Rating: 5.0

I journey flowing like a river
Through plains I meander
Over boulders and rocks, I grace
Through challenging rapids, I race
I sky-fall from mountain heights
In the deep I recover in calm delight
In quiet life team in the depths of me
My soul embraces life to live happily

I journeyed long, flowing like a river
Been through deep hurt pains, but got wiser
Tributaries silt clouded, slowed me down
I did not give up, persistently I moved on
Strong limbs now ache as I move on
My Lord strengthens me as I face life head-on
As I flow I feed the plants by the banks
Offer drink of water to the deer that pants
As I flow, I touch loved ones and all who I can
Flow serving God and not live my life in vain
Flow to live my golden years to its best
Live meaningfully, finding happiness

Live to God's glory, before I eternally rest

Thank you. Glad you liked the poem. Each of us is like the river. We start at a source when we are born aand then we journey challenging life. Tell our story before we disappear into the the sea of eternity.
