Like A Single Tree Poem by Deb Panda

Like A Single Tree

Long ago stood a single tree cold
with sky, without bending single trunk
For wish, above under growth and rushed:
None shielded; If insular mind sunk

Years swept with dust and dew
and unrequited still be; rose past
and passed down screaming sun, grew
older with me, fluttering fancies cast..

To nature, aside with dearth love
if known, since stars and heaven
warrant sun; all that he gave
unharmed and uncut in the soulful inn.....
