There was once a poet named Immerick,
Who worked forty days on a 'limerick, '
At the end of which time.
He remarked of his rhyme,
'There's a limp in the limb of my limerick.'
(Poet: Not Known)

Hahaha! That's really good! Thanks for pointing this to me!
i could imagine limerick came from word lima which is five and rikos which is circular line(or going back to beginning) ... if it is true then limerick is from tribe...hehhehehhe
good metre but rhymes are weak. Compliments of the season Rajnish
