Human languages
Full of motifs and myths,
Sounds and signs
And symbols?

The branch of science
Dealing with the languages
Their history and development,
Origin and evolution,
How have the languages grown
From sound patterns meaning,
Denoting, communicating,
Phonetic clusters turning linguistic
And literary thereafter
As written words alphabetic.
