Lion Poem by Susan Lacovara

Lion

Rating: 4.0

Lion

Fiercely proud

Protective

Lie on

The swaying grass

Patient to pounce

When spying a kill

Lyin' eyes

Those who tempt the courage

Of the big eyed cat

Whose heart even larger

Keeps the hunger alive

Lion

Basking beneath the glorious mane

Quietly regal

Majestically purring

Holding the roar at bay
