Lions' Mane Topic - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Lions' Mane Topic - Lincoln Park Zoo

Dad, Jabari, has mane toned two,
Both darker brown and lighter gold
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Pilipili, cub four months old,
Does look at his Dad's regal mane,
And Dad does assure his son that
Pilipili in time will gain,
To show off in the habitat,
The head hair and look more like Dad.
Whether will be two toned or not
Will come with growth yet to be had.
In a few months, comes that jackpot.

The cub does look more like Mom now,
But soon will look like Dad, and how!
