Listen... My Child Poem by Thabani Khumalo

Listen... My Child

Listen... my child.
This masterpiece is so impressive and yet so depressing.
It has only one short shade of a central color and it is isolated -
though very bright, its character is a burden of maturity.
It is also an encrypted onus.

Because poetry is alive with all of its wits attached to itself alone,
now that I'm older I've learned that,
the words of a woman don't decree the same as those of men.
A woman`s words are closer the soul of life and a man just does not know...
This mourner is done so very well it has become really beautiful.
This one has done quite a number on me!
It is a classic.
Life's dark curtains.
