Listen Rose! Poem by Kiran Somshe

Listen Rose!

O dear rose!
Why bound by bars?
Fight out to drink the shine,
Blossom since the world is thine.

Fear not for a stupid seller,
Who put price for your fine.
He has gone to battle his soul,
Sure to suffer a monetary slain.

Cry not dreading colored priest,
who make you smell the stone at rest.
He has gone to pat his chest,
in the dungeon of his heavenly guest.

Shiver not from the novel lover,
who wants thou to mark his best.
He has gone to find his love,
Dying amidst mistrust.

Come out; come again, never falter,
Dance with the winds that flatter
Cast the shame to those doubting future,
Lest the present smelling gutter.

You're destined to shine like hinds,
And not beheaded by maggot minds,
Cast off your useless thorns,
Else power them to pierce one's faults.

Preaching your pleasant secret
Yet your voice shook ears of few?
Worry not ‘cause
Success seldom an instant brew.

Drinking the drop of your color red,
Cushioned by your leafy bed
Breathe last on one harsh dry day
Having made the lives go gay.
