Listen To Your Mother And No Other. She Gave You A Name... But Who's To Blame? Poem by Dementia DeSalvo

Listen To Your Mother And No Other. She Gave You A Name... But Who's To Blame?

Keeping silent
Every day I pray
Now is the time I have to live
Nyx will beckon and to she I will say
Ere I burn, hope to you I will not give
To hope I will hold and heed another voice instead'
Hearing my mothers warning ringing in my head

'Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD...'

Rising again I struggle and moan
In creeps the cool of the early morn'
Chhiiillllsssss me, to the bone
Has me in a tether this weather
Again Nyx will whisper, her voice in the wind like a noose
'Really, you don't have work if you don't want too'
Do we hold on or do we... let loose
Something
Or
Nothing...

Every night I pray
Sounds of ringing in my ears
Quiet now... quiet now...

(oh what can I say...
i should have listened to my mother, now I pay...)
