Listening Ears Poem by Ray Hansell

Listening Ears

The wisdom I've learned
Through the years
Was passed on to me
Because, I had listening ears

But it seems so many people
Already have their own plan
But watching the things they do
The less I seem to understand

They'll tell you they don't need advise
Because they have life figured out
But it seems the more they talk
The more I hear self doubt

Hopefully, before it's too late
They'll listen to what others say
Just like I did when I was young
And learned so much along the way

True and very practical. There's a saying that goes " A good listener is not only liked, but after a while he learns something."

Your right open ears and a closed mouth 👄 gets one a lot more information 💁 to use in making better informed decisions. James
