Hey there, little one
Dont dare shed a tear
Your grin is a month
Your smile, a year

You jump and laugh and cry and shout
And in your little head
There isn't a doubt

Unlike your elders
You know where you are
You know where you're going
If not very far

And the things that you say
Fill my heart to the core
And the sparkle in your eyes
When you giggle some more

Your mischevious acts
Yet innocent face
Your way of knowing
That life isn't a race

To just take it slow
And have time for some fun
And not miss out
On your love for someone

The silly things you talk about
While playing in the park
Somehow change my day
And pull me from the dark

So go on indulging in sweet laughter
And stuff your face with pies
Because, dear little one
Your an angel in disguise!
