Little Do You Know Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Little Do You Know

You've been around, Showed you few Places
When you were down, I built a solid bases
time would reveal, it wasn't real
the reality was that it was an illusion

little do you know, I let you go
because I knew, you weren't true
Nothing was what it seemed
I awakened from this dream
You were quite the actor
you non important factor

Mother said to turn the cheek
to hand you a plate to eat
you held on for life
maintaining this lie
now you dying inside
